A full time Art Educator who dedicates her after school time to making art. Friday, June 20, 2014. Explorations in Art Cloth with my Students. Since my trip to Arrowmont. I have been exploring dyeing, printing, stamping, and art cloth in my own work. This has been so much fun that I knew I had to add this type of work to my classroom curriculum. Through the help of DonorsChoose. I was able to get a Thermofax. Machine and hoops so I could introduce printing and embroidery to my students.
I mentioned at the end of March that as much as i enjoyed making the Mister Finch bulbs, i wanted to do other things that were more original and personal.

Many of the ideas for my abstracts are inspired by sailing while others are inspired from items found in nature such as trees, plants and other found materials.
Alison was born in Australia in 1946. As a child she learned sewing and embroidery skills which have become the basis of her lifelong interest in textile and fibre art. For more than 30 years her original works have been inspired by landscape structures, processes and resulting patterning of textures. This page requires Adobe Flash Player.
